What is BiRoNZ?
Open to anyone who is interested in Bio-Robotics research (Bachelors, Masters, Phds, Postdocs, and others). A casual and informal atmosphere tailored to you.
The main goal of this network is to bring together the young researchers in the vicinity of Zurich in order to increase momentum and quality of Bio-Robotics research. In particular, we would like to provide opportunities for young researchers to present crazy research topics, to practice presentations, to know what your neighbors are doing (in research that is!), and to ask (basic) questions that you cannot really ask in formal conferences. This network also serves as a platform to attract additional young students (e.g. Bachelors and Masters) joining the research community in the near future.
A list of student projects for Bachelor and Master students is available here.
What are the talks about?
We organize an event/talk every month during the semester, consisting of one or two informal talks given by local students and scientists.
A cross-section of robotics and biology: including but not limited to topics related to Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Control engineering, Computer science, Artificial intelligence, Biomechanics, Neuroscience, Cognitive science, Psychology, Philosophy...
To get an idea, a list of past talks is available here.
How can I keep informed about upcoming events?
